WHAT IT MEANS ... TO ME ... TO BE AN ARTIST
when i was in grade school, i had the thought, i must be an artist.
it wasn't anything i ever remember talking about.
just one of those things you think about.
then it becomes part of what you know about yourself,
never feeling you have to describe or defend it.
as progress in life and education continued,
it became clear that everyone is an artist.
most are talked out of it and forget.
this thought gave me great courage.
the stuff that lets you move more freely in life.
free ... freedom ... freely
these are words i love
and wish for everyone on earth to feel and live and know
to be an artist ... is to be FREE
may we all be artists !!!!!
this is not a concept that anyone owns
or
has a right to bestow on a select few
it belongs to us all
let freedom ring
